    At Leafield C.E. School we have highly skilled, experienced teachers and support staff. Many members of our staff team have worked at our school for a substantial period, providing our children and families with stability and a sense of community.  

    Our staff

    Diane Axford - Headteacher

    Mrs Axford is experienced headteacher of Leafield and St Peter's School, Alvescot.   She is our Designated Safeguarding Lead. She is also our Collective Worship Lead, Data Protection Officer, Allergy Lead and Mental Health First Aider. 

    Rhiannon Abberley - Assistant Headteacher

    Mrs Abberley is an experienced teacher who works in Murphy Class (Year R) on a Tuesday and Friday afternoon. She is also one of our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads. She is our PE lead. 

    Letitia Merry - Class Teacher (Y5/6)

    Mrs Merry is an experienced teacher in  Blackman Class (Year 5 and Year 6). She works on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. She is our Maths Lead.

    Daniel Heffernan - Class Teacher (Y5/6)

    Mr Heffernan is an experienced teacher in Blackman Class (Year 5 and Year 6). He works on a Thursday and Friday. He is our Computing Lead and is undertaking training as SENDCo. 

    Anna Smith - Class Teacher (YR)

    Mrs Smith is an experienced teacher in Murphy Class (Year R). She works on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. She is our Early Years Lead.

    Megan Harrild (nee Ledbetter) - Class Teacher (Y1/2)

    Mrs Harrild is an experienced teacher in Donaldson Class (Year 1 and 2). She is our Phonics Lead.

    Helen Kelly - Class Teacher (Y3/4)

    Mrs Kelly is an experienced teacher in Rosen Class (Year 3 and 4). She is also our Computing lead and one of our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads. 

    Lorraine Williamson - Teaching Assistant (Y5/6)

    Mrs Williamson is one of our Teaching Assistants. Mrs Williamson supports children in  Blackman Class (Year 5 and Year 6). She is also our Emotional Literacy Support Assistant. 

    Chris Stoneham - Teaching Assistant (Y5/6)

    Mr Stoneham is one of our Teaching Assistants. Mr Stoneham supports children in  Blackman Class (Year 5 and Year 6). 

    Rachel Kitto - Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Kitto is one of our Teaching Assistants. Mrs Kitto supports children across school with their literacy skills.

    Katie Gough - Teaching Assistant (Reception)

    Mrs Gough is one of our Teaching Assistants. Mrs Gough supports children in Murphy Class.

    Zoe Dawson - Teaching Assistant (Y3/4)

    Miss Dawson is one of our Learning Support Assistants. She supports children in Rosen class.

    Sophie Rogers - Teaching Assistant (Y1/2)

    Mrs Rogers is one of our Learning Support Assistants. She supports children in Donaldson class.

    Natalie Smith - School Office Manager

    Mrs Smith is our School Office Manager and our Health and Safety Officer.  She is also one of our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.

    Vicki Crow - School Administrator

    Mrs Smith is our Administrative Assistant and will be supporting the school office and our families from 8.30 am every day.

    Barbara Ncube - Lunchtime supervisor / Wrap around leader / Teaching Assistant

    Mrs Ncube is our after-school club leader. She is our lunchtime supervisor, supporting children both in the dinner hall and out on the playground. She also supports in Murphy class in the afternoons.
